Coming home to a broken window is horrible. Our 24-hour control centre means a glazier is dispatched to your property straight away, whatever the hour — from accidental breakages to storm damage and break-ins.
On arrival we assess first and explain the options rather than defaulting to boards. If the glass can be replaced there and then, that's usually the better outcome. If it can't, or you'd rather wait, boarding up is the fast, secure interim.

How we board up a home
With over 20 years behind us there aren't many emergency glazing situations we haven't dealt with. Boards are cut to the opening and fixed securely into the frame or reveal so they can't be levered off, and edges are finished so nobody catches themselves on them.
We clear and safely dispose of all the broken glass, inside and out, before we leave. Then we book the glass in and come back to make it right.

Frequently asked questions
I've just been burgled. What should I do first?
Call the police and get a crime reference number before anything is disturbed, then call us. We're a Surrey Police approved contractor and are used to attending once the scene has been released. We'll secure the property and give you photographs and an invoice for the insurance claim.
How much does boarding up cost?
It depends on the size and number of openings and the time of day. We quote before we work, free and with no obligation, so you'll know the figure before we start. There's no charge for us to come and price it up.
Can you board up and glaze in the same visit?
Sometimes. If the glass is a standard size and type we may carry it, in which case we simply replace it and no boarding is needed. Sealed units, toughened and patterned glass have to be made to size, so boarding bridges the gap.
Will the boards damage my window frames?
We fix into the frame or reveal in the least invasive way the opening allows, and we make good when the boards come off. On sensitive or period frames tell us and we'll adapt the approach.
Do you board up flats and upper floors?
Yes. We have the access equipment for upper-floor work and follow proper working-at-height procedures. Tell the control centre the floor and access when you call so the right van is sent.
