Terms & conditions

About these terms
These terms apply to work carried out by Fast Glass (London) Ltd (company number 04671848). They sit alongside any written quotation, which takes precedence where the two differ.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Quotations
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Unless stated otherwise a quotation is valid for 30 days and is based on the information available at the time.
Where a quote is given without a site survey it is an estimate. If the survey reveals something materially different — a frame that needs replacing, access that requires specialist equipment, a substrate that won't take the fixing — we will tell you and re-quote before proceeding. We will not carry out additional chargeable work without your agreement.
Bespoke and made-to-measure goods
Bespoke glass is manufactured to a template taken at your property and cannot be resold or reused. Toughened glass cannot be cut, drilled or altered after toughening.
For that reason, and in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to made-to-measure goods once manufacture has begun. Your statutory rights in respect of goods that are faulty or not as described are unaffected.
Emergency call-outs
Our one-hour response is a target we work to, not a contractual guarantee. Traffic, weather and demand affect it, and the control centre will give you a realistic time when you call.
Where glass cannot be replaced on the first visit we will make the property safe and secure, and return to glaze once the unit has been manufactured.
Payment
For domestic work, payment is due on completion unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Bespoke orders may require a deposit, which will be stated on the quotation.
Commercial account customers are invoiced on the terms agreed in their account.
Guarantee
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Manufactured products carry the manufacturer's own guarantee, which for sealed double glazed units is typically five years against seal failure.
The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, deliberate damage, damage caused by building movement or subsequent works by others, or failure to follow reasonable care and maintenance advice.
Liability
We carry public liability insurance and a certificate is available on request. We are liable for loss or damage caused by our negligence or our failure to carry out the work with reasonable care and skill.
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was made. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Complaints
If something isn't right, tell us — email sales@fastglass.co.uk or call 01932 852 401. We would much rather hear about it and put it right. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two working days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
